Listener Tim Young tells us that Schulz wrote this:
“I named Eudora after [author] Eudora Welty. One of the great moments of my life was when we went to someone’s home for dinner one night, and I stood in line with Eudora Welty. And we were one of the first ones in line in the dining room, and I very deftly maneuvered her into the living room so I could have her all by myself and just sit on the couch and talk with her for about five minutes before anybody else came in and bothered us. So that really was one of the great moments…of my whole life, just meeting somebody like Eudora Welty.” —Charles M. Schulz
